Chevrolet Tahoe – Astonishing Features
There had been a sharp rise in the prices of gasoline in the last few decades. This has led to the adoption of those vehicles which do not use gasoline as fuel and rather some other fuel for running their engines. These vehicles are commonly called hybrid vehicles. If a person wants to go for a hybrid SUV then the best choice available for him in the market is Chevrolet Tahoe hybrid. This car is fully loaded with features and is better than any other SUV available in the market.
Hybrid Technology: The technology used in the Chevrolet Tahoe is very sophisticated and uses a 6 liters V8 gasoline engine. This engine is combines with electric motors and produces a huge torque to provide the vehicle with an immense amount of horsepower. The Chevrolet Tahoe hybrid uses a deactivation technology which turns off half of the cylinder running inside the engine when the vehicle is not in use. If a person goes to buy a hybrid car then this would be the best available option for him.
Fuel Efficiency: The technology that has been embedded into the hybrid vehicles like the Tahoe combines the usage of a gasoline engine and an electric motor to extract the maximum output from the same. It is the transmission system of the vehicle which combines the two technologies and embeds them into a single one and makes the process easier for the vehicle itself. This is why the hybrid model of the Tahoe is 25% more fuel efficient than the traditional model of the Tahoe.
Comfort: The interior of the car is also very comfortable as it is very spacious from inside and at least 6 people can be seated inside that too with an ease. So we can see that Chevrolet Tahoe is also a comfortable car along with a fuel efficient one. But the cost of this vehicle is comparatively quite high as compared to the other SUVs available in the market. Recently, the manufacturers of this car quoted its price as that of $50,000. This is because this SUV contains all the features that must be present in a luxurious car. So, it is quite obvious that to buy a fuel efficient and fully loaded comfortable car, the person has to pay its heavy price.
While searching for a SUV which must be fully loaded with all the features including luxury and fuel efficiency, a person must take a look at the Chevrolet Tahoe for at least and he will surely fall in love with it.

Chevrolet – The Best and Worst For 2009
Chevrolet has an awesome website that even has a tab for safety.
We liked this because it told us all about the On-Star feature they offer on some models that can help you if you’re in an accident, run out of gas, or just breakdown. The On-Star is a smart system and every automaker should be looking close at Chevrolet.
They offer the best of the Big Three when it comes to hybrids, a car, the Malibu, a truck, the Silverado, and the Tahoe, an SUV-what a choice! Again, however, this Big Three Company mentioned nothing on their website about how this manufacturing company is being environmentally responsible-what’s with the Big Three anyway on this subject?
We looked at two Chevrolet trucks.
2009 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Regular Cab – The Best
Male Country singers croon about owning a Chevy truck and after looking at the Silverado, we know why. It comes in two basic models, the Work Truck and the LT model.
They range from 4.3 liter, 8 cylinder engines to 5.3 liter 8 cylinder engines and have a fuel efficiency of 17 miles per gallon. Depending on model, the Silverado comes in rear-wheel drive and 4-wheel drive and range in price from $19,000 to $29,765.
The good news is that you can get this in a hybrid, but it will cost you more, but really not that much more-only $38,000. If Chevy can offer a hybrid truck at that price, they need to call up Ford and Dodge and explain it to them.
This truck is powerful, a great hauler, and has all the amenities, including On-Star and controls in all the right places. Yep keep singing country folk-this is an awesome truck.
2009 Chevrolet Colorado Regular Cab – The Worst
Chevrolet must have called Dodge and thought this truck would compete with the Dakota.
Both sold as “ladies” trucks, the Colorado comes in 12 styles. The two basic models are the Work Truck and the LT and depending on style, have a 2.9 liter, 4 cylinder engine to a 3.7 liter, 5 cylinder engine. They have a fuel efficiency of 20 miles per gallon and are priced from $16,700 to $21,300.
Customers thought this truck had a weak engine and lack of interior features. They felt the 5-cylinder option was barely adequate and the ride felt bouncy. Overall, even the experts felt this truck was “fair.”
Summing Up Chevrolet
Chevrolet should be proud of their three hybrids, especially when it comes to the price of them.
The Malibu is only $23,000 and the Silverado is $38,000, and their top of the line hybrid the Tahoe is only $50,000! What does Chevy know that the other American automakers don’t know?
They offer top-performance in the Silverado trucks that those farmers love and when you buy your next Chevy truck, don’t forget to purchase a Chevrolet extended warranty to ensure once the manufacturer’s warranty is expired, you’ll still have repair coverage.

Chevrolet Volt Still Slated For Production
Despite its recent financial woes, General Motors has decided to will continue with its plan to release its electric automobile, the Chevrolet Volt. Bob Lutz, GM’s new Vice Chairman of Global Product Development, has insisted that the company will stand by its commitment to add the Volt to its product line. I was excited to hear this news, as it will be the automaker’s best chance at competing with the hybrid auto market that is currently dominated by Toyota and Honda.
After seeing the concept and production versions through news releases and at the North American International Auto Show, I was fascinated by the idea of viable plug-in electric vehicle. General Motors attempted to break into this market with the EV1 in the 1990s, but that particular model just never caught on. The automaker went back to the drawing board for the design of the Volt.
The Chevrolet Volt is one of the first production vehicles to rely entirely on an electric motor for propulsion. A typical hybrid uses the electric engine only during processes that consume a lot of fuel, such as acceleration. Drivers will use a special attachment to plug the vehicle into any standard household outlet. This will charge the lithium ion batteries and offer a zero-emission travel range of up to 40 miles. If a driver has to take a longer trip than the standard 40 miles, the Volt utilizes a gasoline-powered internal combustion engine to recharge the car’s batteries. This process will cause the vehicle to release a small amount of emissions into the environment. Once the battery is charged to an acceptable level, the gasoline engine shuts off and the Volt continues operating solely on the electric engine. The Volt is expected to achieve an equivalent of over 100 miles per gallon based on the Environmental Protection Agency’s new fuel efficiency standards. This will be the first production vehicle to reach this mark. Initial estimates indicate that the car will start at $40,000.
It’s good to see that General Motors is attempting to pioneer this technology rather than attempt to carve out a niche in the already crowded hybrid market. Detroit has been known for churning out the same types of vehicles year after year. Many critics say that this is part of the reason for the Detroit 3’s recent financial woes. By undertaking a project as revolutionary as the Volt, GM has sent a clear signal to the world that it intends to stay on the cutting edge of technology. Let’s hope it is well received by consumers able to afford that hefty price tag.
